Job Summary
Moultrie is seeking an experienced Software Architect to join our backend infrastructure team. This role focuses on designing and implementing new features, optimizing performance, and creating scalable, maintainable solutions for the Moultrie platform. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for building high-performing systems that support our growing user base.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Service, Hardware/Device, and Marketing to ensure our software aligns with business goals and delivers exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Microsoft development frameworks.
- Implement object-oriented software development best practices and modern architectural patterns.
- Deliver high-quality multi-platform projects within a continuous delivery environment.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain programming and technical documentation.
- Conduct and support unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Monitor and support Moultrie Mobile’s production cloud infrastructure.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve processes and system performance.
- Assist in resolving critical production issues and provide technical leadership during incidents.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers to foster team growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- 15+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience leading complex, business-critical projects.
- SQL Server
- Entity Framework
- Cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines
- Event-driven and message-based architecture
- RESTful or mobile API development
- Azure Functions or AWS Lambda
- Experience designing and maintaining highly scalable web applications
- Strong understanding of unit testing and software quality assurance practices
