Position: Warehouse Associate I

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate I position ensures safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods throughout the distribution center. Tasks include order pulling, packing & shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse housekeeping.

Essential Job Functions
  • Utilize an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner to perform directed picks of inventory to complete customer order fulfillment.
  • Move completed or partially completed orders and carts to appropriate areas for next step processing.
  • Visually inspect and alert lead/supervisor of potentially problematic inventory conditions.
  • Scan and verify that items pulled are correct for customer shipment.
  • Apply appropriate packaging materials to ensure minimal risk of spoilage or damage while in transit.
  • Validate lot/batch numbers, quantities, dosages, strengths, sizes, or other product attributes for each order.
  • Print and apply shipping labels to packages.
  • Move prepared packages to carrier staging areas.
  • Alert a lead/supervisor of problematic inventory, carrier, or shipment conditions.
  • Use an RF scanner to complete inventory movement or replenishments.
  • Use an RF scanner to perform inventory/bin counts.
  • Use an RF scanner to investigate misplaced or improper items and bin locations.
  • Use an RF scanner to consolidate eligible inventory and locations to ensure efficient utilization of space.
  • Use an RF scanner to receive inventory off Purchase Orders or ASNs.
  • Validate that items being processed match items ordered from the supplier.
  • Perform inventory putaways of received inventory.
  • Alert a lead/supervisor of potential inventory inaccuracies or safety concerns.
  • Ensure the work environment is safe, clean, and obstruction-free for all team members.
  • Clean, wash, scrub, and sweep warehouse work areas.
  • Sort and organize non-inventory items.
  • Empty warehouse recycling/cardboard bins and garbage cans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
  • Minimum of 3 months of similar warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
  • Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified preferred.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to operate a Windows-based computer preferred.
  • Work well with others and independently.
  • Self‑motivated with problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Mental & Physical Demands
  • Attention to detail critical to ensure accuracy and completion of objectives.
  • Perform basic arithmetic without a calculator.
  • Regular interaction with people; strong team player.
  • Work at a fast pace.
  • Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
  • Repetitive motion: reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying.
  • Regularly lift/move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 70 pounds, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
  • Climb ladders/stairs; balance; stand/walk on concrete floor for extended periods.
  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch.
  • Work long hours as needs arise.
  • Frequent use of hands for computer keyboard.
Equipment Used

Work performed may utilize an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner, PC workstation, forklift, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, barcode scanner, printers, scale, and tape gun.

Work Environment

Work will be performed indoors in a temperature‑controlled climate. Moderate heat, cold or humidity may be experienced. Moderate exposure to dust and dirt may also be expected. Work is typically Monday through Friday but may require working more than 40 hours per week. Handling products with cautionary warning labels may be required. This is a safety‑sensitive position.
