Inventory Control Associate
Americold Logistics, LLC invites applications for the Inventory Control Associate role. Primary ResponsibilityAssists in maintaining accurate inventory records and preventing and resolving discrepancies.
What You’ll Do- Promote a safe work environment through personal actions and report any safety concerns.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts, full physical inventories), record results and discrepancies, and communicate findings to management or customers as needed.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies—including researching customer claims, handling missing product, adjusting quantities, printing labels, dealing with damaged inventory, and disposing of inventory.
- Update inventory in the Warehouse Management System and process adjustments.
- Assist with special projects and customer‑specific requests.
- Report on operational errors impacting inventory performance.
- Perform other inventory‑related duties as requested.
- High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years of office experience or equivalent training.
- Experience with AS/400 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Forklift license.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
- Strong numerical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to sit for long periods with frequent interruptions.
- Manual dexterity for typical office work.
- Ability to lift or carry objects up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in temperatures at or below freezing and travel by automobile and airplane as required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
