Sanford Rose- JFSPartners is seeking an experienced Payroll Tax Analyst to join the accounting and payroll operations of a well established construction and restoration company. This position will play an important role in payroll tax compliance, labor-related general ledger reconciliations, reporting, and audit support.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general ledger labor reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor and track payroll-related tax issues through resolution.
  • Prepare and file applicable payroll tax returns.
  • Develop and maintain reconciliation spreadsheets related to W-2 reporting.
  • Balance and reconcile payroll-related cash activity.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll-related audits.
  • Research discrepancies and work with appropriate teams to resolve payroll and tax issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to payroll tax and reconciliation activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5–7 years of relevant payroll/accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with general ledger labor reconciliations is required.
  • ADP experience is required.
  • Experience with JD Edwards is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
