We’re working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that’s looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a genuinely varied role, offering exposure to a broad portfolio of SME and larger clients, including businesses with revenues into the millions.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, working closely with business owners and senior stakeholders. The work goes beyond one-dimensional compliance and offers real scope to use your technical skills and judgement.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts

* Supporting audit work where required

* Managing corporation and personal tax compliance

* Reviewing and overseeing VAT (this is not a VAT-only role)

* Leading and attending client meetings

* Acting as a trusted advisor to clients across a range of sectors

* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

The Clients

* A mix of SME and larger businesses

* Turnovers ranging from early-stage companies through to multi-million-pound organisations

* Varied industries and structures — no narrow or repetitive portfolios

About You

* An experienced Senior Accountant or practice-trained accountant operating at this level

* Comfortable managing clients end-to-end

* Strong technically, but equally confident in front of clients

* Someone who enjoys understanding the detail, asking the right questions, and delivering quality work

* Years of experience matter less than the breadth and quality of work you’ve done
