We are currently representing a genuinely well-respected independent accountancy practice in the West Midlands that is looking to strengthen its Audit team with the appointment of an Audit Senior.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, wants more autonomy, and is looking to join a firm where people are genuinely trusted and valued rather than just being another number within a larger structure.

The firm has built an excellent reputation locally, with a loyal client base, long-standing staff retention, and ambitious growth plans. They are now looking to continue building a strong senior team around the directors to help support the next phase of growth.

The position will involve a mix of audit and accounts work, with responsibilities including:

• Leading audits from planning through to completion
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Managing client relationships day-to-day
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Assisting with workload management across the team
• Working closely with the directors on client delivery

This is a role where your opinion and input will genuinely matter, and where there is clear scope to progress over time.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Recent UK accountancy practice experience
• Strong audit experience
• ACA or ACCA qualified (or close to qualifying)
• Experience leading audits independently
• Good communication and client-facing skills
• A proactive and organised approach

• Independent practice with a supportive culture
