As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing well-rounded accounting services to a diverse client base, focusing on Xero-based cloud accounting, VAT, management accounts, and tax returns. While year-end accounts and tax compliance remain crucial, the firm is looking for someone who can add value through advisory services and client support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for a range of clients
• Managing VAT returns and management accounts
• Supporting clients with cloud-based bookkeeping using Xero
• Advising clients on financial processes and technology-driven solutions
• Working closely with business owners to provide tailored financial insights
• Assisting with general business advisory services

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of Xero and other cloud-based accounting software
• Ability to handle a varied workload including VAT, accounts, management accounts, and tax returns
• A proactive approach with a strong advisory mindset
• Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACA/ACCA), or qualified by experience candidates welcome
