As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key operational and strategic role within a highly innovative, fast-growing accountancy practice and Fin Tech group. Moving away from traditional, manual accountancy methods, our practice operates with bespoke proprietary AI technology and automated systems, leaving you free to focus on quality oversight and strategic development. Working directly alongside the firm's lead directors, you will oversee standard accountancy output for a micro-business client base while playing an active role in driving our technology-first vision forward.
This role is designed for a smart, ambitious, and proactive professional who can manage high-volume turnover efficiently, contribute to key software deployment projects, and assist with integrating newly acquired practices as part of our rapid acquisition strategy.
- Accounts Review & Finalisation:
Efficiently review and finalise standard statutory accounts, corporation tax, and financial statements for micro-business clients. - Tech-Driven Workflow Oversight:
Ensure automated systems (including AI-driven confirmation statements and routine processing) run smoothly, maintaining high churn efficiency. - Strategic Project Support:
Actively participate in ongoing tech implementation projects to help transition the practice toward full end-to-end automation. - Internal Leadership & Direct Oversight:
Drive internal momentum by managing day-to-day workflow, keeping junior teams focused, and ensuring account deadlines are met consistently. - M&A Integration:
Assist with strategic operational onboarding and practice integration as the group acquires new client portfolios. - Client & Systems Coordination:
Act as a central point of technical accountability to ensure quality control across all automated outputs.
- Practice
Experience:
Solid, hands-on background within a UK accountancy practice environment. - Qualifications:
ACA, ACCA, AAT, or Qualified by Experience (QBE). An audit background is welcome for its structured training approach, though the role itself is non-audit focused. - Technical Aptitude:
Strong technical accounting skills paired with a genuine enthusiasm for cloud accounting, automation, and Fin Tech tools. - Track Record of Stability:
Proven commitment and loyalty in previous roles, with a focus on long-term career growth rather than frequent job-hopping. - Mindset:
Eager, sharp, and forward-thinking with a proactive approach to driving internal efficiency. - Office Presence:
