£56,000 to £64,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Birmingham is looking for a technically strong Corporate Tax Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio, delivering compliance and advisory work across a broad and diverse client base.

The firm's tax team is growing and well regarded locally, with a clear route to Senior Manager, a collaborative culture, and the kind of client mix that keeps the technical work interesting. Crowe Watson Recruitment has a strong presence across the Midlands accountancy market and knows this region's corporate tax landscape well.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate clients across compliance and advisory services
• Advising on corporation tax, group structures, reorganisations and tax planning
• Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by junior staff
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team and supporting their development
• Contributing to business development activity and proposals

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong corporate tax background gained in practice
• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a corporate portfolio across compliance and advisory work
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and current developments
• Excellent client facing skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly
