Experienced Service Charge Accountant

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation with a strong presence across the UK. With several divisions operating within the wider business and a substantial property portfolio, this is an interesting environment offering plenty of variety and exposure. The organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Service Charge Accountant to oversee the rent and service charge accounting across around 140 properties.

You'll work closely with Finance, Housing and a variety of operational teams, providing accurate financial information while ensuring charges are correctly calculated, recoverable and supported by robust processes. Skills Needed Solid experience in service charge, property or housing finance. Previous involvement in budgeting, reconciliations, accruals and year-end accounting. Understanding of leases, landlord and tenant arrangements and the financial requirements surrounding property portfolios.

A self-sufficient approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload and deliver accurate work within agreed deadlines. What You Will Receive A varied role overseeing rent and service charge accounting across a portfolio of approximately 140 properties. Strong business partnering exposure, working with a range of operational teams and building an understanding of different areas of the organisation. Scope to review and enhance existing processes, controls and reporting, making a real contribution to the efficiency of the finance function.
