Tax Senior

The Opportunity We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Senior to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional looking to develop their career within a supportive practice environment, with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within an accountancy practice and be confident managing a range of personal and business tax matters.

Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients. Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns. Preparing tax computations and supporting schedules. Providing clients with practical tax advice and identifying tax planning opportunities. Assisting with year-end accounts and tax-related queries where required. Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently. Dealing directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.

Building strong, long-term relationships with clients. Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing work where appropriate. Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements. About You The ideal candidate will have: CTA or ATT qualification is essential Previous tax experience within an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of UK personal and/or corporate taxation.

Experience preparing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns. Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Good communication and client relationship skills. The ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines. Strong IT skills and experience using accountancy/tax software. A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work.
