Audit and Accounts Senior Manager

Job Description

This is a key leadership role, offering responsibility for a substantial client portfolio, team development and the delivery of both audit and accounts services to a varied client base. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, oversee complex assignments and play an active role in supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Our client is a well-established independent accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong reputation across the Midlands. They advise a broad range of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial ventures and corporate organisations, delivering audit, accounting, tax and advisory services.

• Manage a sizeable portfolio of audit and accounts clients across multiple sectors
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion and final sign-off review
• Review statutory accounts prepared under relevant accounting standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and maintain strong commercial relationships
• Provide strategic advice and support to business owners and senior stakeholders
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines and resource allocation
• Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development initiatives
• Support Partners with complex client matters and practice growth objectives

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Proven experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level within practice
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting requirements
• Experience managing a substantial client portfolio and leading complex engagements
