Experienced Service Charge Accountant

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a long-established organisation with a strong presence across the UK. The business operates across multiple divisions, creating an interesting and varied environment, alongside a large and diverse property portfolio.

They are looking for an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join their team, taking responsibility for the rent and service charge function across approximately 140 properties. Working closely with Finance, Housing and operational teams, you'll play an important role in ensuring charges are accurate, compliant and recoverable, while also bringing greater structure to processes, reporting and controls.

• Part Qualified ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA
• Strong experience within service charges, property finance or housing finance, with a good understanding of rent and service charge accounting.
• Experience across budgeting, reconciliations, accruals and year-end accounts, with strong Excel and data reporting skills.
• Good understanding of leases, landlord and tenant arrangements and relevant property requirements.

• Responsibility for the rent and service charge function across a large portfolio of approximately 140 properties.
• Business partnering with different operational teams across the organisation, gaining broad exposure to how the wider business operates
