Management & Reporting Accountant

About the Business An exciting opportunity to join a well-established services business in Birmingham City Centre as a Management and Reporting Accountant . Main Duties:
As a Management and Reporting Accountant , your main duties include:
Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including supporting commentary and variance analysis Leading a smooth and controlled month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies in a timely manner Preparing departmental and group-level reporting packs for use by senior stakeholders Supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycle, working closely with department heads Contributing to cash flow forecasting and monitoring working capital Providing clear, commercially-minded financial insight to support business decision-making Assisting with the year-end process and acting as a point of contact for external auditors Reviewing and strengthening internal controls, processes, and reporting systems Building strong working relationships across the business, including with non-finance stakeholders Location / Office / Culture The role is hybrid , based in Birmingham City Centre , with just 1-2 days a week in the office .

The team operates from a bright, modern office and the business genuinely supports flexible working around it. You’ll report into a supportive Finance Manager/Financial Controller within a small, close-knit team, with a manager known for developing their people well.
