A forward thinking firm of accountants is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant to join its dynamic team in near Dudley. This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee or Junior Accountant ready to step up into a Semi-Senior role, working with a diverse and engaging portfolio of clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts and financial statements for a range of owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Processing client records and managing bookkeeping duties with accuracy and efficiency.
• Preparing tailored management accounts.
• Completing and reviewing VAT returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Supporting the planning and preparation of audit packs.
• Responding to routine client queries and providing ongoing support.

Personal Requirements

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA/ACA.
• Experience in a practice environment, with some exposure to audit work.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high standards of client service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving abilities.
• High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
