Assistant Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy are currently assisting an established client in the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant to join their existing team. Reporting to the Management Accountant this role will be integral in managing fixed assets, conducting month-end tasks, handling bank postings, service charges, house accounts, and payroll. This role also involves providing financial support Group managers and staff. Day-to-day of the role:
Fixed Assets Management:
Capitalise assets, post depreciation journals, and ensure accurate ledger reconciliations. Month End Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile month-end journals and assist in management account preparations. Bank Postings and Reconciliations:
Ensure accurate postings and regular reconciliations of all bank accounts. Service Charge Management:
Accurately record and calculate service charges, ensuring clear communication with tenants and timely collection of payments. Payroll Support:
Verify overtime shifts, manage payslips distribution, and handle various payroll-related tasks. Financial Administration:
Manage petty cash, provide financial advice to managers, and assist with financial documentation management. Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Strong foundation in English and Maths. AAT qualification or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience in a finance environment and familiarity with computerised accounting systems. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
