Are you a highly organised and detail-focused Procurement Administrator looking to build your career within a growing manufacturing business? Do you enjoy working with suppliers, managing purchase orders and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes?
We’re delighted to be supporting a market-leading and expanding manufacturer based in South Birmingham in their search for a Procurement Administrator to join their busy and collaborative team. Working closely with the Supply Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost‑effective purchase of goods from a range of UK suppliers. You’ll be responsible for raising and managing purchase orders on the ERP system, processing them with suppliers and tracking progress through to delivery.
With a strong eye for detail, you’ll check order acknowledgements, resolve any pricing or delivery discrepancies and maintain accurate delivery dates to ensure full visibility of incoming stock and spend. You’ll liaise regularly with suppliers to coordinate deliveries and collections, helping to ensure goods arrive on time and in full. Alongside this, you’ll support stock planning activities by interpreting data, monitoring trends, lead times and anticipated demand, and producing regular reports for the wider team.
You’ll also ensure key procurement and supplier information is kept up to date on the ERP system, providing reliable administrative support that underpins the wider supply chain operation.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within procurement or supply chain
- Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with data and reports
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Clear and confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
- A competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- 23 days holiday, rising to 25 with service
