Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the city. Student and Academic Services are currently seeking a Programme Administrator to join their team on a fixed term contract. The role will suit an experienced administrator, with experience in accurate record management and a keen eye for detail.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be supporting the administration of academic programmes in line with agreed university regulations, policies, and service standards, ensuring programmes adhere to institutional strategy. The post holder will provide high quality, efficient and effective administrative support for students with responsibility for a wide range of course administration duties, sharing responsibility for efficient and seamless delivery of student services across the School.
The role will involve administration of a portfolio of courses and modules (postgraduate and undergraduate), maintaining student records and providing services and support to students and colleagues across the student lifecycle from clearing to completion.
Experience from a fast-paced administrative environment, where you have responded to queries promptly and professionally. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and maintain exceptional attention to detail. A clear commitment to delivering high-quality service to both students and staff is essential. Proven experience using digital systems to manage data and maintain accurate records.

EmploymentTerms
The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
