DWF is recruiting for a Personal Assistant to join a high-performing business support function within a leading legal services organisation, working closely with Partners and Fee Earners to deliver an exceptional client experience.
This role offers
hybrid working
, with a requirement to be onsite in our Birmingham office at least two days per week
, alongside flexibility and support from an experienced Business Support team in a fast-paced, professional environment.
The Person al Assistant will provide high-level support to Partners and Fee Earners, ensuring the effective and economic use of their time. Responsibilities include full diary and inbox management, arranging and administering meetings (including agenda preparation and minute taking), drafting correspondence, managing communications, and acting as a key liaison point for clients and internal stakeholders.
The role also involves coordinating travel and accommodation, processing expenses, opening new client matters, and supporting onboarding and offboarding within the practice area. You will produce presentations, executive summaries and light research, follow up on actions, and take ownership of non-chargeable work to allow fee earners to maximise their billable time, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with firm policies.
What will help you succeed in this role?Essential
- Experience in a Personal Assistant or senior administrative support role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills with confidence supporting senior stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of producing accurate, high-quality meeting minutes
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience supporting Partners or Fee Earners within legal or professional services
- Experience using digital dictation systems
- Familiarity with matter opening or case management systems
- Experience arranging travel and processing expenses
- Experience supporting events or client hospitality
