Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the city. Student and Academic Services are currently seeking Programme Administrators to join their team on a permanent basis. These roles will suit experienced administrators, with experience in accurate record management and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities- Support the administration of academic programmes in line with university regulations, policies, and service standards.
- Ensure programmes adhere to institutional strategy.
- Provide high quality, efficient, and effective administrative support for students, with responsibility for a wide range of course administration duties.
- Administrate a portfolio of courses and modules (postgraduate and undergraduate), maintain student records, and provide services and support to students and colleagues across the student lifecycle from clearing to completion.
- Respond promptly and professionally to queries from students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Prioritise tasks effectively and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Use digital systems to manage data and maintain accurate records.
- Experience in accurate record and data management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Evidence of delivering high-quality service to both students and staff.
- Proven experience using digital systems for data management.
- Commissioned knowledge of university or higher-education environment preferred.
The appointed candidate will normally be employed through BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
