Summary:
** This is a full time permanent position.
We are seeking a highly skilled and committed individual to coordinate the administrative functions for the role out of free breakfast clubs in primary schools across the city and be responsible for collecting and collating data for the Department for Education. Working alongside Family Information Services colleagues to ensure that parents and carers are aware of the wraparound childcare offers available to them.
To have very good communication skills to be adept at using emotional intelligence to anticipate issues before they arise and then have excellent research and organisational skills to deal with the issues ensuring where required deadlines are met.
The role also includes supporting the Early Years Funding Officer and the wider Early Years team by working flexibly to ensure that the needs of the service are met in the most efficient and effective way. This will require use of own initiative in ensuring that any issues are raised appropriately with senior management and keeping them informed.
Qualification requirement:
Level 3 Business Administration, English & Maths C/5 level or above.
If the postholder requires a Standard or Enhanced DBS disclosure the candidate is required to declare full details of everything on their criminal record unless the conviction/s and/or caution/s are considered “protected” in line with filtering rules for DBS checks.

PRINCIPAL
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1.
To promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults in the Children & Young peoples directorate.
2.
Coordinate and deliver an administrative support service, be proficient in office procedures and routines, in particular using financial recording systems, Synergy DfE Management Information systems, Oracle, Excel and databases. 3.
Set up and maintain databases & spreadsheets, commitment to working as part of a team and supporting and training other staff. 4.
Deal with customer enquiries appropriately and sensitively and support and mentor the Early Years Admin Assistant with SEN and FIS processes.
5.
Extract and collate data and present information on time and accurately to service users and senior management.
6.
Maintain up to date knowledge of early education government funding, National Wraparound Childcare Programme and SEND/SENIF to enable the effective coordination of wraparound childcare for primary aged children and payments for wraparound childcare. 7.
