We are looking for a motivated and organised Administrator to support the Norwich to Tilbury Great Grid Upgrade (GGP) project, a nationally significant energy infrastructure scheme being delivered for National Grid.

Working closely with the Project Director and wider project team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the project. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a major UK infrastructure programme while developing your skills within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support across the Norwich to Tilbury project.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders and support project procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation and filing systems.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new starters joining the project team.
  • Support the organisation of team meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Manage project correspondence and distribute information where required.
  • Assist with maintaining project databases, trackers, and reporting tools.
  • Support the wider project team with day-to-day administrative requirements.
  • Ensure documentation is managed in line with project processes and procedures.
  • Provide additional administrative support as required by the Project Director and wider team.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
  • Good organisational skills with strong diligence.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Initiative-taking and reliable approach to work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or project support role.
  • Experience working within an engineering, construction, or infrastructure environment.
  • Knowledge of project documentation and record management processes.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Highly organised and meticulous.
  • Positive and flexible approach.
  • Strong collaborator with a willingness to learn.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

About The Energy Business Unit

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
