About this jobWe are looking for an organised and proactive Governance Administrator & Executive Assistant to join a charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and helping young people build a brighter future.
Location:
Birminghum Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Salary: £27,016-£28,821 per annum
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm,
37.5 hours per week (30-minute lunch) [hybrid working] About the Role You will provide administrative and executive support to the Governance and Executive Teams, including the Chief Executive and Board.
- Coordinating meetings, diaries, agendas and meeting papers.
- Preparing Board and Committee documentation.
- Taking accurate minutes and maintaining action logs.
- Maintaining governance records and documentation.
- Supporting Board activities and meetings.
- Providing general governance, compliance and administrative support.
- Managing confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Working closely with senior leaders and internal teams to ensure actions and deadlines are followed.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior administration or Executive Assistant role.
- Minimum 2 years' experience taking minutes for Board, Committee or senior-level meetings.
- Experience coordinating meetings, diaries, agendas and meeting papers.
- Level 3 qualification/A Levels or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Excellent organisational, time management and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Teams and/or Zoom.
- Ability to manage confidential information and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and use initiative.
- Understanding of good governance and meeting management.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Charity or voluntary sector experience.
- Experience with in homelessness or housing services.
- Public-sector experience.
- Experience working with Board or Committee structures.
- Experience supporting or working with young people.
- Relevant qualification or degree in Governance, Business Administration or Management.
