We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a Tier 2 main contractor based in Birmingham, supporting a range of exciting industrial and residential construction projects across the Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of a growing business, working across high-profile developments and collaborating with experienced project teams to ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects.

What You'll Do
  • Work alongside on-site Design Managers across multiple industrial and residential projects.
  • Split your time between project sites and the office across the Midlands region.
  • Manage the receipt, processing, distribution and storage of project documentation using the company's document management system.
  • Maintain accurate document control registers and records of project correspondence.
  • Monitor and update key submission dates to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all documentation is managed in accordance with project procedures and quality standards.
What We're Looking For Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of document management systems and construction-related technical terminology, policies and processes.
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Viewpoint,Fieldview and4P, including:
    • Project set-up
    • Workflow creation and management
    • Security group administration
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Effective organisational and project coordination skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, working effectively across departments to support successful project delivery.
