Vehicle TechnicianRole Overview
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be essential in diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs efficiently and effectively.
Vehicle TechnicianKey Responsibilities
- Perform thorough vehicle diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.
- Identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet daily targets and customer expectations.
- Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and industry best practices.
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician in a busy automotive workshop.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Good knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electronics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Health and safety awareness in the workshop environment.
- Competitive salary within the range of £38,000 to £42,000 per annum.
