Vehicle Technician

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years' experience, for the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Pay / salary:
Up to £36,000 basic per annum, with bonus and overtime opportunities; realistic OTE up to £45,000 depending on site and experience

Shift and schedule:
Monday to Friday, with Saturday rota and approved overtime where required

You would be joining a well-established car dealership and one of the UK's leading independent franchised dealership groups. The business has grown into a multi-site automotive retail operation, representing a wide range of well-known manufacturers across the UK. This client is committed to delivering exceptional customer service across new and used vehicle sales, servicing, repairs, MOTs, parts, fleet services, and aftersales support.

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, NVQ/City & Guilds, or equivalent;
  Level 2 qualified Technicians with strong dealership or workshop experience may also be considered
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or similar workshop role
• Own tools suitable for day-to-day workshop duties

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repair work on customer vehicles to manufacturer and franchise standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment and workshop processes to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Replace parts, lubricants, and consumables as required, ensuring all work is completed correctly first time.
• Complete accurate service records, job cards, and repair documentation in line with company procedures.
• Carry out electronic vehicle health checks and highlight any additional maintenance or safety work required.
• Work professionally with Service Advisors, workshop control, and colleagues to support customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.
