Commercial Manager - FTC - Hybrid

18-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover) Hybrid Working - 1 Day a week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Commercial Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business on an 18-month maternity cover contract, with potential for permanency.

This is a senior commercial role responsible for managing high-value, high-volume export sales across established UK B2B accounts and international markets. The successful candidate will take full ownership of a diverse export product portfolio including edible poultry products, by-products, and frozen and fresh turkey lines.

• Deliver the agreed sales budget across multiple export product categories
• Manage and grow existing B2B export accounts
• Develop direct export business with international end-users, including product development where required
• Identify and secure new markets and new business opportunities
• Diversify customer base and export destinations to reduce market exposure risk
• Manage pricing, margins, KPIs, and commercial performance
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate closely with logistics and supply chain teams
• Ensure timely payments and effective credit control
• Manage customer relationships, complaints, and after-sales service
• Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and commercial analysis

• Proven experience in export sales within food, FMCG, or logistics or similar sectors
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing high-value, high-volume accounts
• Comfortable operating in a KPI-driven environment
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Food or poultry sector experience advantageous
• Full UK driving licence required
