Senior Business Development Manager – Public Interest Audit

I’m working with a top 10 accounting firm that’s launching a brand-new role to drive growth and transformation within their Public Interest (PI) Audit team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how the firm wins work in the FTSE 350 and large privately held space, including major PE-backed groups.

As Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll lead the charge in evolving the firm’s approach to business development—bringing structure, insight, and energy to their pursuit strategy. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to build a proactive sales culture, manage key accounts, and drive profitable growth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Define and manage a pipeline of strategic pursuits and tenders
• Champion CRM best practices (Dynamics) across the PI Audit practice
• Partner with audit leaders and marketing to shape go-to-market plans
• Lead account management for priority targets, qualifying opportunities early
• Monitor KPIs and hold stakeholders accountable for BD activity
• Build a BD community and identify training needs across the team
• Collaborate across service lines to develop compelling propositions

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in professional services, ideally within an accountancy firm
• Strong background in BD and account management in the FTSE 350 space
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills at a senior level
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce)
• A proactive, resilient mindset with the ability to work independently
