A leading UK Online and Store supplier of Bathroom products is looking for their next Category Analyst. This proud business with over 40yrs experience and strong business values needs your expertise.
As a Category Development Analyst, your role will be helping the business to make decisions using product information and data, customer insight and feedback. You will touch on a variety of areas including:
Category Performance & Commercial Analysis, Stock Optimisation & Lifecycle Management, Supplier and Product Support, Reporting, Insight and Business Support. Ultimately, your work will give you exposure and chance to become a Category Manager in time.
A further breakdown of role responsibilities would include:
- Category performance analysis
• Supplier and product lifecycle management
• Pricing and margin optimisation
• Stock efficiency and aged stock reduction
• Range planning and rationalisation
• Own-brand and branded product performance
• Commercial reporting and insight generation
This analyst position plays a role in supporting the Product Category Management team, the development of commercially effective, customer- focused product categories that improve margin, stock turn, and overall category performance.
Your CV and experience, what should you ideally have:-
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- Ability to interpret sales, margin, and stock data
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with in retail, distribution, manufacturing, or home improvement (beneficial)
- Experience working with ERP, inventory, or PIM systems (advantageous)
- Understanding of e-commerce retail environments (beneficial)
- Financial and commercial awareness
- Self-motivated with strong willingness to learn and develop
