Are you an organised, detail-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy working with senior stakeholders, ensuring meetings run seamlessly, and making a real impact behind the scenes? We are looking for a Governance Officer to join our Governance Team, supporting the effective operation of our Boards and Committees.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with governance, executive support or company secretarial experience who enjoys balancing administration, organisation and stakeholder engagement.
About the RoleAs a Governance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our governance processes run efficiently and professionally. You will coordinate Board and Committee meetings from start to finish, ensuring papers are produced to a high standard, deadlines are met, and meetings are supported effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and distributing Board and Committee agendas and papers.
- Attending meetings and producing accurate minutes.
- Supporting the organisation of meetings, including travel, accommodation and meeting logistics.
- Maintaining governance records and statutory registers, including Declarations of Interest and Board member records.
- Supporting governance processes such as Signing and Sealing, Board inductions, training, expenses, invoices and shared inbox management.
- Providing an efficient and professional governance service across the organisation.
We are looking for an organised, accurate and proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
Requirements- Experience in a Governance, Company Secretarial, PA or Executive Assistant role.
- Proven experience taking accurate minutes and supporting Board or Committee meetings.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and discretion.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous governance experience is desirable, but candidates with strong Executive or Personal Assistant experience supporting Boards or senior leadership teams are encouraged to apply.
