The role:

The Illegal Markets Disruption Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Assistant Caseworker Investigators delivering disruption activity at scale against illegal online gambling markets. The role focuses on supervising delivery, managing data and reporting outputs, and supporting the continuous improvement of operational processes. The postholder will work in a fast-paced enforcement environment, supporting disruption activity across websites, apps and social media platforms, and working closely with colleagues across enforcement and investigations.

The role is primarily operational, with responsibility for ensuring work is completed accurately, consistently and in line with agreed guidance. Our offer to you:

- Line manage and support a core team of Assistant Caseworker Investigators delivering illegal market disruption activity, allocating work, setting priorities and monitoring progress to ensure delivery against agreed expectations
- Provide coaching, feedback and practical support to develop team capability and maintain quality standards, addressing day-to-day performance promptly and escalating concerns where necessary
- Identify opportunities to improve or extend disruption activity and escalate ideas for development
- Continue to support the use of automation and the issuing of cease and desist notices to illegal market operators
- Identify test purchasing opportunities and recurring themes or risks emerging from disruption activity
- Lead on routine data gathering relating to disruption activity and ensure accurate record keeping by the team, maintaining oversight to ensure information is complete
- Produce regular statistical reports and data packs demonstrating progress against agreed key performance indicators
- Attend meetings with industry, key partners, law enforcement agencies and third parties as required, representing the teams work and supporting the Commissions approach to illegal markets disruption
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to support shared objectives, applying appropriate judgement with an understanding of how the teams work contributes to wider enforcement activity
- Support the development and maintenance of process maps, workflows and guidance notes to support consistent team delivery
- Ensure team activity is carried out lawfully, proportionately and in line with policies and procedures, identifying and escalating operational risks in line with agreed governance arrangements
- Maintain awareness of relevant changes in legislation, policy or guidance and communicate updates to team members as needed What were looking for:
Essential criteria:

- Experience and confidence line managing or supervising staff in an operational role including dealing with routine people management issues, allocating work, monitor performance and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within a data analytics, intelligence, or enforcement environment, with the skills to identify trends, evaluate programme risks, and translate complex data into actionable operational insights for disruption activities
- Knowledge of the remote gambling sector including promotion and advertising tactics
- Strong IT skills, with working knowledge of Excel, PowerBI reporting and experience gathering, managing and assuring operational data
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to produce routine performance reports using standard tools (e.g. spreadsheets, dashboards) Desirable criteria:
