Aston University is dedicated to supporting graduate employability and delivering an exceptional student experience. We are seeking an organised Events Coordinator to join our Student Engagement Team (SET) within Careers & Placements (C&P).

The Events Coordinator will plan and coordinate a varied, year-round calendar of activities. Working collaboratively with internal teams, operations, student societies, and the Student Union, the postholder will maintain oversight of all C&P and partner events to ensure they are integrated into the student experience across both our Birmingham and London campuses.

The role involves managing event execution ranging from our flagship Big Careers Fair to employer sessions, workshops, and outdoor activities. Taking a data-driven approach, you will track attendance metrics, evaluate student feedback, analyse non-attendance trends, and refine event delivery to widen student reach and engagement

The role also includes handling essential financial administration, such as budget tracking, invoicing, and purchase orders, while assisting commercial income generation through employer-led events.

We are looking for a proactive, collaborative candidate educated to degree level or equivalent (or with equivalent experience), who brings experience in planning and delivering successful events and managing business relationships. You will bring strong organisational flair, excellent communication and digital skills (MS Office, CRM, Eventbrite, Mailchimp), a solution-focused mindset, and an understanding of event compliance (Health & Safety, GDPR) and financial administration.

This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver engaging events that directly enhance student engagement and employability.
