Sustainability Manager

£55,000 | Car Allowance | Hybrid Working | 33 Days Annual Leave | 5% Employer Pension

A Sustainability Manager job opportunity has become available within a major UK supply chain and logistics business. With the company's sustainability and ESG roadmap already established, you'll take ownership of delivering it across the business, collecting and analysing data, measuring progress and producing ESG reports.

Reporting to the Head of QHSE, this is a hands-on role focused on turning existing sustainability and carbon-reduction objectives into measurable improvements.

Sustainability Manager responsibilities include
- Delivering the company's established sustainability and ESG roadmap.
Collecting and analysing data covering carbon emissions, waste and energy usage.
Measuring progress against objectives and producing accurate ESG reports.
Leading projects that reduce the company's carbon footprint.
Tracking ESG performance and supporting recognised frameworks, including Eco Vadis.
Supporting Sustainability Champions and assessing supplier ESG performance.

Sustainability Manager desirable skills and experience
- Previous experience within a Sustainability, ESG or CSR management role.
Experience collecting, analysing and reporting sustainability and ESG data.
A strong understanding of carbon-footprint measurement and reduction initiatives.
Experience delivering sustainability plans, carbon-reduction initiatives and improvement projects.
Strong stakeholder management, reporting and project-management skills.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental compliance would be desirable but is not essential.

Sustainability Manager benefits include
