Salary: Solicitor £44,000 - £65,900 / Senior Solicitor £59,800 - £89,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As we continue to invest in the electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland, we're growing our Construction & Commercial Legal Team and are seeking talented solicitors to join us. Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced legal professional, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside project delivery teams, engineers, procurement specialists and senior stakeholders, helping to shape nationally significant projects that will support the transition to net zero for generations to come.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative in-house legal team, providing practical, commercially-focused advice across a broad range of construction, engineering, commercial and regulatory matters.

• Support the delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects through clear, pragmatic legal advice.
• Work closely with colleagues across project delivery, procurement, operations, asset management and regulation, building trusted relationships.
• Advise on construction, engineering, commercial and procurement contracts, helping teams navigate risk and make informed decisions.
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative and high-performing culture where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are encouraged.
• Play a meaningful role in helping SSEN Transmission deliver the network required to support the UK's energy transition and net zero ambitions.

• Qualification as a Solicitor in Scotland and/or England & Wales, with experience as a newly qualified or at senior solicitor level.
• Experience or a genuine interest in construction, engineering, commercial contracts, infrastructure or energy-related legal matters.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercially aware advice.
• A collaborative approach and a desire to work closely with business stakeholders to find solutions and deliver successful outcomes.
• Sound judgement, curiosity and the ability to manage competing priorities within a dynamic project environment.
