Force Lead Family Liaison Coordinator (FLC) is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational delivery of family liaison across WMP. Operating under the FLC Strategic Lead, the Force Lead FLC ensures that deployments are professionally managed, compliant with national guidance and responsive to the needs of bereaved families and investigative teams
• Act as the subject matter expert for family liaison within the force supporting training delivery.
• Maintain a register of deployable FLOs and FLAs, ensuring readiness and capability across departments.
• Oversee the selection, deployment, supervision, and withdrawal of FLOs and FLAs in line with APP and force policy.
• Provide strategic advice to SIOs and departmental FLCs on complex or high-profile deployments.
• Coordinate cross-border deployments, mass fatality responses and deaths abroad in liaison with national partners.
