A well-established main contractor based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join their commercial team, supporting the delivery of industrial and logistics projects valued up to £50 million.

This is a key role within the business, working closely with estimating, commercial, design, and business development teams to successfully take projects from early engagement through to construction.

As Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing the pre-construction process and ensuring tenders and negotiated projects are effectively planned, costed, and de-risked.

• Managing pre-construction activities from early-stage design through to contract award
• Coordinating input from estimating, commercial, design, and planning teams
• Leading tender strategy, programme development, and value engineering
• Managing risk, opportunity, and buildability reviews
• Supporting client and consultant meetings during pre-construction
• Ensuring smooth handover from pre-construction to delivery teams

• Proven experience in a Pre-Construction Manager or similar role with a main contractor
• Strong background in industrial and logistics projects
• Sound commercial awareness and understanding of construction processes
• Experience managing tenders and negotiated work up to £50m
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

• Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (dependent on experience)
