Building Surveyor

A Birmingham-based property advisory firm is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its regional team. This Building Surveyor role sits within a busy Building Surveying service line delivering advice across the full property lifecycle. The Building Surveyor will work with investors, occupiers and landlords across multiple sectors.

The Birmingham team works closely with colleagues across property, planning, development and management services to deliver integrated advice to clients.

The Role
As the Building Surveyor, you will deliver a wide range of professional and project instructions while supporting the growth of the regional building consultancy offering.

The role will include:

* Project management and contract administration

* Preparation of specifications and schedules

* Party wall matters and dilapidations advice

* Landlord and tenant advice

* Producing reinstatement cost assessments

* Direct client liaison and relationship management

* Supporting business development and fee generation

The Building Surveyor?
You will be a commercially aware Building Surveyor with experience delivering consultancy services across a range of property sectors.

The Building Surveyor must have:

* Degree-qualified background in Building Surveying or a related discipline

* Experience delivering professional and project-based instructions

* Understanding of statutory legislation impacting buildings

* Experience in client-facing roles with responsibility for instructions

* Ability to manage workload to meet fee and delivery targets

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
