Kick‑start your future as a Construction Assurance Apprentice, supporting the UK’s largest water and wastewater provider. You’ll support projects through design, build, commissioning and aftercare – helping integrate new assets smoothly into day‑to‑day operations.
Wage: £22,500 a year
Training course: Construction site supervisor (Level
4)
Hours: Monday – Friday, shifts to be confirmed. 36 hours a week
Start date: Tuesday 1 September 2026

What you’ll do at work- Support construction assurance to meet time, cost and quality targets
- Assist with pre‑construction reviews and readiness checks
- Monitor contractor safety, environmental compliance and asset standards; help resolve site issues, non‑conformances and deviations
- Work with Operations Readiness teams to ensure smooth asset integration
- Help prepare and review RAMS, TWOSAS and permits
- Take part in audits and performance reviews, driving improvement
- Support planning, look‑ahead meetings, commissioning and aftercare

What you’ll learn Course contents- Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety‑conscious behaviours
- Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects
- Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers
- Understand overall plan for a project and measure and record progress against it
- Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning finished construction projects
- Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget
- Knowledge, skills and behaviours as set out in the Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Standard
- Certificate of Higher Education Construction & Built Environment
- Training includes virtual sessions each week, live seminars and recordings; tasks and learning resources are set on the VLE
- GCSE in Maths and English (grade 9‑4 or A‑C)
- Relevant subject (grade Distinction/Merit/Pass/A‑C)
