Quantity Surveyor Main Contractor

Position: Quantity Surveyor Main Contractor (Permanent)
We are working with a leading UK main contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the Midlands and wider UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to join a well-established contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across multiple sectors.

The Role

You will play a key role in the commercial management of live projects, working closely with project and site teams to ensure successful financial delivery. Responsibilities will include:

* Managing day-to-day commercial activities on assigned projects

* Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

* Cost control, valuations, variations, and forecasting

* Monthly reporting, including CVRs and cashflow tracking

* Ensuring compliance with contracts and internal commercial procedures

* Supporting project teams in resolving commercial and contractual issues

* Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

About You

* Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role with a main contractor

* Strong commercial, contractual, and financial acumen

* Excellent negotiation and communication skills

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail

* Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
