Internals Snagging Manager – Birmingham City Centre
£270–£290 per day | Temporary (Up to 6 Months) | Immediate Start

Fawkes & Reece are proud to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Internals Snagging Manager to join a well-established main contractor delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK.

Our client specialises in major new build and refurbishment schemes within the hotel & leisure, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education sectors.

The Role

This position is based on a large, multi-million-pound student accommodation development in Birmingham City Centre, with an expected duration of up to six months (with potential for extension).

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing internal finishing trades from first fix through to completion, ensuring a high-specification finish is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in Internals Management with strong fit-out and snagging expertise, ideally gained on large-scale residential or commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise, coordinate, and monitor subcontractor performance

* Manage internal works from first fix through to final snagging and handover

* Prepare, manage, and close out snagging lists

* Ensure works are delivered to programme and within agreed quality standards

* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety on site

* Monitor and report progress against Safety, Quality, and Schedule

* Review drawings and specifications, formally communicating discrepancies

* Ensure compliance with building regulations, company procedures, and best practice

* Attend progress meetings with clients and stakeholders

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with the project team and client representatives

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Internals Manager / Fit-Out Manager / Snagging Manager

* Experience working on large-scale, multi-million-pound projects (student accommodation experience desirable)

* SMSTS (preferred)

* Relevant construction qualifications

* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* IT literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
