This building surveyor opportunity provides exposure to a broad range of building surveying instructions.
The Company?
The Building Surveyor will join a property consultancy delivering cost, project and technical surveying services across the UK. The organisation works with private and public sector clients providing practical building surveying solutions. The building surveyor will support a pipeline of West Midlands surveying work while contributing to national surveying delivery.
The Role
As the Building Surveyor you will deliver professional building surveying services across a varied portfolio of instructions.
The role will include:
* Conducting building, measured and condition surveys and preparing clear client reports
* Preparing and negotiating dilapidations assessments
* Providing contract administration for refurbishment, extension and new build projects
* Supporting preparation of tender documentation, contracts and client agreements
* Undertaking site inspections to monitor project progress, cost control and potential risks
* Supporting feasibility studies and option appraisal work
* Advising on party wall and neighbourly matters where required
* Completing building reinstatement cost assessments
* Preparing planned preventative maintenance schedules and reports
* Working with wider project and technical teams to support delivery outcomes
* Supporting business development activity when appropriate
The Building Surveyor?
You will be a motivated Building Surveyor with experience delivering surveying services across project and professional instructions. Applications without relevant surveying experience will not be considered.
The Building Surveyor must have:
* Relevant degree or professional qualification in building surveying or a property related discipline
* Experience working as a Building Surveyor delivering commercial or public sector surveying work
* Strong understanding of building surveying services including condition, project and professional work
* Ability to manage multiple surveying instructions and deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with relevant surveying and project software
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Right to work in the UK
