Think Construction is working with a leading regional construction contractor to find an Estimator/Surveyor for a commercial and preconstruction team. The client is a cash‑rich, family‑run business with a turnover of £20 million. Ninety percent of the work is refurbishment projects in retail, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors. Projects range from £50k up to £5 million.

The role is based in the modern Birmingham office and requires a good understanding of estimating, surveying, cost planning and bill of quantities. The split of the role is 70% estimating and 30% surveying.

• Conduct cost estimations for refurbishment and small new‑build projects.
• Prepare and manage bill of quantities.
• Perform site surveys to assess project requirements.
• Support the commercial team with cost planning and budget monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across site and client teams.

• Experienced estimator/surveyor with a hands‑on approach.
• Background in refurbishment/fit‑out construction contractor work.
• Strong communication skills, able to interact well with all stakeholders.
• Commitment to high standards and ambition for progression.
