We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Designer to join a growing construction consultancy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, managing health & safety risks during the pre-construction phase, and supporting the successful delivery of a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities- Acting as Principal Designer in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015
- Advising clients on their duties and responsibilities under CDM
- Coordinating health & safety during the pre-construction phase
- Identifying, eliminating, and reducing foreseeable health & safety risks in design
- Liaising with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Reviewing and assessing design risk information and construction documentation
- Preparing and managing pre-construction information packs
- Supporting the preparation and review of health & safety files
- Attending design team meetings and site visits where required
- Promoting safe design principles and best practice across projects
- Previous experience working as a Principal Designer or CDM Consultant
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and construction health & safety legislation
- Experience with in construction, consultancy, architecture, engineering, or surveying environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent desirable
- Membership of APS, IOSH, RICS, CIOB, or similar professional body preferred
- Full UK driving licence preferred
