About the role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will provide expert commercial leadership on major projects within our Nuclear Defence Support programme, supporting complex, high‑value programmes that protect the UK and shape future nuclear capability.
You will work closely with clients, suppliers, project teams and senior stakeholders to deliver value, manage risk and drive commercial excellence from bid stage through to final account.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Provide commercial management and guidance across projects, supporting Quantity Surveyors and project teams
- Lead contract reviews, draft subcontract agreements and oversee commercial governance activities
- Manage tender processes and conduct commercial evaluations for complex equipment and service providers
- Oversee post‑contract commercial performance, including change management and handling subcontractor claims
- Deliver final account settlements while protecting commercial and contractual interests
- Strong experience in commercial management within engineering, construction or infrastructure environments
- Proven expertise working with NEC3 contracts
- Experience supporting large‑scale, complex projects and contract delivery
- Ability to manage commercial risk and apply sound judgement in challenging environments
- Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior colleagues
- Degree level education (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Quantity Surveying
Successful candidates must achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.
