As a Building Projects Surveyor at Hyde, you will play a vital role in delivering large‑scale fire safety projects across our housing portfolio. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are well‑planned, delivered to the highest compliance standards, and completed on time and within budget. Working with contractors, consultants, colleagues, and residents, you’ll help to ensure our homes remain safe while supporting funding applications for essential fire safety improvements.
KeyDuties
- Manage the delivery of major fire safety projects from initial surveys through to completion.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and compliance, mitigating any risks or variances.
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, and colleagues to ensure projects run efficiently.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, ensuring communication is clear and considerate.
- Support funding applications and reporting by providing accurate technical and financial information.

What We’re Looking For- Proven experience in carrying out building surveying or managing remedial works linked to fire safety or external wall systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive mindset and passion for improving building and fire safety standards.
- The ability to oversee contractors, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
