• Attend scope surveys and assist with preparation of cost estimates
• Procure the supply chain and prepare order documentation in accordance with company management systems
• Assess and certify subcontractor interim payments, ensuring the appropriate notices are issued
• Prepare interim valuations and final account submissions
• Manage and value variation accounts
• Assist with the preparation of extension of time claims and loss and expense submissions
• Identify and manage commercial risks
• Produce accurate monthly cost‑value reconciliation reports and forecast
• Report directly to the Commercial Manager
• Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
• Ensure effective interaction between the commercial and operational site teams

• Degree qualified candidate
• A proven track record in construction
• A proactive approach, initiative and willingness to accept responsibility
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, particularly the JCT & NEC forms of contract
• Sound commercial awareness
• Ability to complete take‑offs and price variations unaided
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High levels of organisational skills and time management abilities
• Excellent numerical, IT and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to travel to site as and when required
