- Attend scope surveys and assist with preparation of cost estimates
- Procure the supply chain and prepare order documentation in accordance with company management systems
- Assess and certify subcontractor interim payments, ensuring the appropriate notices are issued
- Prepare interim valuations and final account submissions
- Manage and value variation accounts
- Assist with the preparation of extension of time claims and loss and expense submissions
- Identify and manage commercial risks
- Produce accurate monthly cost‑value reconciliation reports and forecast
- Report directly to the Commercial Manager
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
- Ensure effective interaction between the commercial and operational site teams
- Degree qualified candidate
- A proven track record in construction
- A proactive approach, initiative and willingness to accept responsibility
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, particularly the JCT & NEC forms of contract
- Sound commercial awareness
- Ability to complete take‑offs and price variations unaided
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High levels of organisational skills and time management abilities
- Excellent numerical, IT and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to travel to site as and when required
