Street Works Inspector

Our client, a leading organisation within the highways sector, is currently seeking a Street Works Inspector on a contract basis. As a vital part of the team, you will ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and maintain high standards of work on highways and street construction projects.

• Inspecting street works to ensure they meet NRSWA requirements
• Reporting and documenting any non-compliance issues
• Liaising with contractors and utility companies to address and resolve issues
• Monitoring work sites for safety and compliance with regulations
• Ensuring that traffic management measures are appropriate and effective
• Issuing notices and penalties for non-compliance as necessary
• Keeping accurate records of inspections and findings
• Providing guidance and support to contractors to ensure best practices are followed

• Experience in street works inspection or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of NRSWA regulations and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Relevant certification or qualification in NRSWA
