Our client is a growing multi-disciplinary property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality surveying and consultancy services across the UK. Working with a broad range of public and private sector clients, they provide innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to gain exposure to a varied workload while receiving structured support towards professional development and RICS Chartership.
Assistant Building Surveyor Salary & Benefits- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

The successful candidate will assist in delivering a range of building surveying services across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK. Working alongside experienced surveyors and multi-disciplinary teams, you will gain exposure to both professional and project-based work while developing your technical skills.
Duties- Assisting with building condition surveys and preparing detailed reports
- Supporting the preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, schedules of work, and drawings
- Assisting with tender submissions, contractor assessments, and the preparation of JCT contracts
- Attending pre-contract meetings and supporting project handovers
- Carrying out site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance
- Attending client and project meetings
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Travelling to project sites and client locations as required
Job Requirements
Degree in Building Surveying or relevant industry experience.
- Working towards chartership
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
