Our client is a growing infrastructure consultancy with an established reputation across the rail sector. As their commercial team continues to expand, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor who is eager to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
This isn't a role where you'll be left to figure things out on your own.
You'll join a consultancy that actively invests in its people, providing ongoing mentoring, development opportunities and exposure to some of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.
The Opportunity
Working within a consultancy environment, you'll support a range of major client organisations across the infrastructure sector. This will give you exposure to a variety of projects, commercial challenges and delivery environments that simply aren't available within a single contractor business.
You'll work alongside experienced commercial professionals, building your technical capability whilst developing the confidence and skills needed to progress your career.
Responsibilities- Supporting the commercial management of infrastructure projects
- Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and financial controls
- Supporting NEC contract administration
- Managing change, compensation events and variations
- Assisting with procurement and subcontract management activities
- Producing commercial reports and project documentation
- Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Working within client organisations as part of a consultancy delivery model
- Experience with in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role
- Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for the next step, or an existing Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge
- Experience with in infrastructure, rail, construction, highways or utilities would be beneficial
- Understanding of NEC contracts would be advantageous
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ambitious, driven and keen to develop professionally
