Working closely with project managers and site teams, the Demolition Estimator will prepare accurate costings, tenders, and project budgets for demolition and enabling works projects. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the estimating process, gain exposure to a variety of project types, and play a key role in securing new business for a reputable and growing specialist contractor.
Demolition Estimator - Position Remuneration
Base salary: £65,000-£85,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Holidays:
Standard company holiday allowance plus bank holidays

Demolition Estimator
- Position Overview
Prepare accurate costings, budgets, and tender submissions for residential, commercial, and industrial demolition projects
Analyse project drawings, specifications, and site surveys to calculate materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor requirements
Work closely with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to gather technical and commercial information
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and realistic pricing
Assist in the preparation of bid documents, schedules, and reports for clients and internal stakeholders
Maintain and update estimating records, cost databases, and project documentation

- Position Requirements
Proven experience in estimating or quantity surveying within demolition, construction, or civil engineering projects
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and project costs
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with project teams, clients, and suppliers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience of estimating software or CAD packages desirable
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
